4th Show & Comedy!

 4th Show & Comedy!

Today was a great return to our show after two days of rest! We got off to an excellent start with our street promotions, and this was our favorite day yet. Beginning with Demogorgon in the window, which - as always - attracted the attention of many crowds and one unamused tour guide. As with previous times, this was a success - word of our show is even more widespread. After moving Demogorgon to the ground and the following chase, our performance was our most consistent show yet. But with the success of our promotions, I'm sure our final two shows will have an amazing reception!

Camera Obscura was a whimsical experience! The illusions were fun, interactive, and dazzling. My personal favorites were the Ames Room, the mirror maze, and the ladder to Australia. I've been a fan of Ames Rooms since I learned about them, and getting to finally step inside one was fantastic and trippy. I wasn't expecting the mirror maze to be as confusing as it was, and the grid definitely tripped me up a lot. And the ladder wasn't the best illusion, but it gets bonus points for being funny. And of course, there were plenty more that made for excellent photos.

I didn't think Broadway actress and Tony Award winner, Laura Benanti's show would be quite my cup of tea, but as the performance went on, I grew more and more fond of the humor and her way of storytelling. As a habitual "people pleaser" myself, I found the message of the show relatable and motivating. I enjoyed her musical performances more than the sections they broke up.

Whose Face is it Anyway, on the other hand, was an absolute blast for everyone, and we knew it would be from the start! Nina Conti's humor clearly appealed to all of us, as we were constantly giggling and laughing throughout. Her performance was flawless, and I was impressed by how easily she could improvise full songs and dances while speaking for two, then four audience members! Of course, it helped that the audience was so willing to engage thoroughly. I absolutely recommend her show, would watch again!!
